Ukraine Getting Hit Hard by H1N1
It started with: Unidentified flue outbreak in Western Ukraine. It’s not escalating into WHO says it’s sending team to Ukraine to probe reports of serious H1N1 activity.
It’s now been confirmed to be H1N1. So far reports seem to indicate that it’s a virulent variation, so the Ukraine has started to quarantine itself, closing schools, stopping the army draft, etc.
I expect we’ll hear a lot more as the WHO team arrives and determines exactly what’s going on in Ukraine.
